There is nothing that excites me more about the changing seasons than getting to break out a whole new group of shoes!!

While I will miss my strappy sandals and embellished flip flops, a large piece of my heart will always be committed to my fall wardrobe. This season is very similar to last season, so you might already have a few great go-to pairs. You can still add color and depth to your winter shoe collection with these great finds!

NYFW – Elie Tahari F/W 2011

Lacy, sheer, gothic romance. For Elie Tahari’s Fall/ Winter 2011 collection, it was all about luxury and drama with flowing layers of chiffon, peek-a-boo lace and high, stiff necklines.

Silhouettes of free-flowing fluid fabrics were seen in dresses and wide leg trousers and balanced out with form-fitting, intricate lace bodices.

From gauzy layers to equestrian inspired looks, Elie Tahari took classic fall and winter colors of browns and taupes, dramatic black and luxe white and infused them with a great eye for detail. Perfect draping and flattering bias cuts, plus fur trim, leather and subtle leopard prints gave the collection it’s edge.

The queen of prints and the wrap dress, Diane von Furstenberg didn’t disappoint those looking for full-fledged fashion and glamour at the DVF Fall 2011 Runway Show. Fall continues spring’s theme of vibrant color and her mix of reds, blues, and greens give a wonderful pop in a sea of black.

Her gauchos are still the talk of fashion week. DVF started the show sexy with black as a key color. The gauchos paired with tall boots is going to be a fall favorite of mine!
